Artist’s Bio

Hello

My name is Marc Roper and I make useful and unique items from locally sourced wood and stone.  My business is located in Sointula on the northern end of Vancouver Island and my home for more than 40 years.

The items I make are made from locally sourced materials with a emphasis on using salvaged wood and stone to create new one of a kind creations.  With an abundance of local wood available to use like alder, pacific yew and both red and yellow cedar finding new ideas for projects is never a problem.  My favourite items such as jewelry boxes, cutting boards and small furniture are always in the works and new ideas are coming along. Thank you for viewing my creations and please feel free to contact me with questions or comments.      Cheers
